SThape GL is a Free State rap musician and sound engineer whose A-one rap techniques are carving the landscape, allowing for the new-age revival of boom bap and soulful trap.   

At 31years-old, Sthape is a master of his craft with the lyricism and production capabilities to match the big time professionals. It’s his bold commitment to integrity that sets his work apart.   
 

In 2019, he released WTAWeekend EP which demonstrated influences of Alternative rap, trap, and storytelling, in an impressive wave, demanding its own lane with each track featuring his vocals alone.   

He has shared the stage as an opening act with the likes of Frank Casino, Okmalumkoolcat, Ricky Rick, Maphorisa and Kwesta among others. As the future unfolds, the name Sthape G.L grows synonymous with the best rap music has to offer, his most recent collaboration on a song titled “Qina Ntombi” with Durban based Artist “Prince Vyda” signifies the truth of it all.
